Moonophony

A sonic space where feeling comes first.

More than twenty years ago, we discovered the magic of recording sound—on an old tape cassette. That warm, imperfect medium sparked something deep: the urge to capture emotion, to shape atmosphere, to make music that felt true.

From those early days dubbing ideas onto cassettes, to burning demos onto CDs for first rock bands, to uploading our first mp3s under the name ThomC—we’ve been on a long journey with sound. Four albums and hundreds of songs later, Moonophony is the natural continuation of that path: a studio created not just to make things sound good, but to help others find the courage to share what they’ve made.

We blend technical care with emotional intuition. From mixing cinematic folk-pop to sculpting soundscapes for short films and games, we approach each project with the same curiosity that started it all—when everything was lo-fi and personal.

And over the years, we’ve been humbled by a few kind words:

🎧 “I think ThomC's song is excellent and I can learn a lot from it.”
Matthew Weiss (Akon, Swae Lee, Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Nicki Minaj)

🔊 “I really like that one a lot. I like the dynamics, I like that Thom went kinda wild [...] I like the instinct, a lot of ideas that are in there.”
Nathan Robitaille (The Shape of Water, Nightmare Alley, Free Guy)

But what drives us isn’t recognition—it’s resonance. That moment when a sound clicks into place, and someone finally hears their song as it was meant to be.

Moonophony isn’t a factory. It’s a quiet space to create, refine, and explore. Whether you’re an indie artist, a filmmaker, or a creative spirit in need of a mix, we’re here to help you shape something that feels—not just something that sounds good.
